Our process

How we make your home safer

Electrical safety isn’t just about passing a test — it’s about methodical inspection and quality materials.

Before and after fuse boardSchedule a check
  1. 01

    Listen first

We’ll ask about your concerns, the age of your property, and any immediate problems. Understanding the full picture means we can tackle the root cause, not just the symptom.

  2. 02

    Methodical testing

Using calibrated test equipment, we inspect circuits from the consumer unit to every socket. We’ll flag any hidden dangers like degraded insulation or loose connections.

  3. 03

    Clear advice

You’ll get a plain-English explanation of what needs doing, what’s urgent, and what can wait — with a fixed price for the recommended work.

  4. 04

    Safe, certified finish

Before we leave, every new circuit or alteration is tested, and you receive the necessary certificate. We even register the work with the local authority where required.

FAQ

Your electrical service questions answered

Still not sure? Here are some of the questions we hear most about our services.

What does a rewire involve?

We work room by room, chasing cables into walls and lifting floorboards only where necessary. It usually takes 5-10 days for a full house. We provide a detailed plan, then dust sheet and clean up at the end of each day.

How long does a consumer unit upgrade take?

Typically 3-5 hours. We’ll turn off the power, swap the board, test every circuit, and issue an Electrical Installation Certificate before we leave.

Do I need to be at home for an EICR?

Ideally yes — someone over 18 should be present to give access. The inspection takes 2-4 hours depending on the size of the property.

Can you add sockets while I'm having a kitchen fitted?

Absolutely — we work alongside kitchen fitters and builders, running new circuits before the units go in, then returning to fit faceplates once the kitchen is complete.

Are you insured?

Yes, we carry full public liability insurance. Copies are available on request.
